On August 11, the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) nominees have revealed, and BTS (RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) has been nominated in multiple categories.

BTS nominations at 2021 MTV Video Music Awards categories including:

• Best Pop (Butter),
• Best K-pop (Butter),
• Best Choreography (Butter),
• Best Editing (Butter MV)
• Song of the Year (Dynamite)

Best K-pop Video

This year, BTS will compete with the other five k-pop groups for Best K-pop Video. Here are the best K-pop video nominees:

• (G)-IDLE (DUMDi DUMDi)
• BLACKPINK ft. Selena Gonez (Ice Cream)
• BTS (Butter)
• MONSTA X(Gambler)
• SEVENTEEN (Ready to Love)
• TWICE (Alcohol Free)

BTS won big at the 2020 MTV Awards (VMAs)

Back in 2020, BTS won multiple awards in four categories in 2020 MTV Awards, including Best Pop, Best K-Pop, Best group, and Best Choreography for their song “ON.”

Moreover, the group also became the first Asian artist who won the Best Pop award in MTV, while they also won for two consecutive years for Best Group.
