Son Suk Ku May Reunite with “D.P.” Director in the New Mystery Drama “Road”

On February 17, an exclusive report by News1 revealed that actor Son Suk Ku is currently reviewing a casting offer for the lead role in a new mystery drama titled “Road” (working title).

Son Suk Ku. Korean – Japanese comic book “Blue Road” | Netflix, Naver Series.

About “Road”

“Road” is based on the Korean-Japanese joint comic book “Blue Road” (푸른길) by Edogawa Keishi and Kwon Ga Ya.

The story revolves around shocking murder cases in Korea and Japan, which have raised alarms and sparked intense investigations in both countries.

The narrative follows Detective Kang Cheong Do, who travels to Japan after learning about similar cases in Korea and Japan. He suspects that the perpetrator of the murders is the same individual. In Japan, he meets Inspector Inose from the Nishigata Police Station, who is investigating the murders in Shinjuku and Yokohama.

As the two detectives collaborate, they discover that the crimes in both countries are linked. They also identified that the perpetrator is the same person. Could the culprit have crossed the Korea Strait and continued committing these bizarre murders in Japan? The lingering question remains: Is the perpetrator Korean or Japanese?

The investigation continues as the two detectives join forces to uncover the truth behind these chilling crimes.

Son Suk Ku’s Role in “Road”

According to the report, Son Suk Ku will likely portray the lead role of Detective Kang Cheong Do from Korea.

Currently, there is no confirmed information about the actor who will portray Inspector Inose from Japan. However, rumors suggest that Japanese actor Eita Nagayama is being considered for the role. This speculation is further supported by the fact that Son Suk Ku and Eita Nagayama now follow each other on Instagram.

Son Suk Ku’s Upcoming Projects

If the “A Killer Paradox” actor accepts the role offer, this project will be the fourth collaboration between the actor and director Han Jun Hee. Previously, they worked together on “Hit and Run Squad,” “D.P.” Seasons 1 and 2.

This drama will be Son Suk Ku’s next drama project following the romance fantasy drama “Heavenly Ever After” and the thriller mystery drama “Nine Puzzle.” Both dramas are scheduled for release this year.

The actor will also star in the new mystery comedy film “Virus,” reuniting with Bae Doo Na after their previous collaboration in Netflix’s original series “Sense8.”

In addition, a new film, “It’s Okay!,” where the actor plays a pharmacist role, will hit the theatre on February 26.
