Actress Shin Ye Eun Courted for Female Lead Role
On February 20, Hankook Ilbo reported that “The Glory” star Shin Ye Eun confirmed her lead role in Cho Chang Min’s “Takryu.” In an interview, she reveals her role in the Disney Plus series, hinting at an exciting new transformation ahead. Additionally, the production filming schedule is still in the air.
In the latest update, the actress’s representatives at NPIO Entertainment confirmed her interest in the show “Takryu.” They mentioned, “She is enthusiastically evaluating the offer.”
In this new Korean historical drama, actress Shin Ye Eun will potentially collaborate with two other popular Korean actors, Rowoon and Park Seo Ham.
Last year, both Rowoon and Park Seo Ham received offers for leading roles in the upcoming series “Takryu.” Rowoon’s agency confirmed the offer for the male lead, which is currently under review. Park Seo Ham is also reportedly in discussions for a role in the upcoming drama.

Korean historical drama “Takryu” portrays a compelling historical journey. It is about a man who rises from being a gangster in Mapo Naru to a legendary figure in Joseon. The drama takes place by the Han River, a pivotal location for logistics and economy during Joseon era.

The upcoming historical drama marks director Choo Chang Min’s first foray into drama production. His famous work was the Korean historical movie “Masquerade” in 2012. And Cheon Sung Il, author of “The Slave Hunters,” penned the drama script.

Shin YeEun started her acting journey in the 2018 web drama “A-Teen.” Since then, the actress has gained fame for her diverse roles in numerous dramas and entertainment programs. Notably, she gained recognition for her role as young Park Yeo Jin, the villain in Netflix’s “The Glory.”
