Shin Hye Sun and Ahn Bo Hyun to Possibly Partner Up for a New Webtoon-Adaptation Drama, “See You in My 19th Life” With a Huge Issue
After a long and exciting wait after “Mr. Queen”, actress Shin Hye Sun will reportedly partner up with “My Name” and “Military Prosecutor Doberman” actor Ahn Bo Hyun for a new webtoon-adaptation drama, “See You in My 19th Life”.
On April 12, Korean media reported that Ahn Bo Hyun will be joining Shin Hye Sun as the main lead for the new webtoon-adaptation drama, “See You in My 19th Life”. Regarding this report, Ahn Bo Hyun FN Entertainment agency stated that he considered taking the role.
“Ahn Bo Hyun has received a casting offer for ‘See You in My 19th Life’ and is positively reviewing it.”

Previously in December 2021, Shin Hye Sun had also received an offer for the new webtoon drama. However, nothing has been confirmed because Shin Hye Sun agency only claimed that the new drama was one of many offers she had received.
“Shin Hye Sun received a casting proposal for ‘See You in My 19th Life’ and is reviewing the script. The new drama is one of the projects she is currently looking through.”

Rising to the top of high-caliber actresses in the Korean entertainment industry, fans has always been eagerly waiting for Shin Hye Sun new drama and movie. Today, Shin Hye Sun is currently filming the “Brave Citizen” movie with rising actor Lee Jun Young as her nemesis. And along with “See You in My 19th Life”, Shin Hye Sun also considered appearing in new drama, “Wax Doll”.
Adapted from Webtoon by Lee Hey – What is The Storyline?
Furthermore, if the new drama storyline follows the original webtoon series, “See You in My 19th Life” will tell a story about a woman who remembers all the lives she had lived before. She’s currently living her 19th life with all the memories intact from every moment of all her past 18 lives, only to meet someone special to whom she had to say goodbye during her 18th life.
Shin Hye Sun as Ban Ji Eum
In “See You in My 19th Life”, Shin Hye Sun will be starring as Ban Ji Eum, a woman who has the ability to remember all her past lives.
Once she turns 10-12 in every life she’s living, all the memories from all her past lives will start appearing, and today she’s born again in her 19th life only to find someone from her previous life, Moon Seo Ha.
Ahn Bo Hyun As Moon Seo Ha
At the same time, Ahn Bo Hyun will be playing the male lead, Moon Seo Ha, in “See You in My 19th Life” new webtoon drama.
Moon Seo Ha is the heir of a chaebol family. When he was a child, Seo Ha briefly stayed in the house of her mother’s friend and met her daughter, Yun Ju Won. During the time his mother was battling her disease, Seo Ha and Ju Won grew closer and more fond of each other. And after his mother’s death, Ju Won was the one comforting Moon Seo Ha and cheering him up.
Then one day, during a trip to an amusement park, Seo Ha and Ju Won got into a terrible car accident. Indeed, Seo Ha managed to survive. However, the car accident caused a horrible trauma within him because he had to watch closely how Ju Won had died while protecting him.
Little did he know that Yun Ju Won was actually Ban Ji Eum in her 18th life. The 12-year-old noona Moon Seo Ha fell in love with has been reborn today with the name of Ban Ji Eum.
Shin Hye Sun Will Be Playing Multiple Roles Once Again
If she agrees to take on the role, actress Shin Hye Sun will be playing multiple roles once again in this new webtoon-adaptation drama.
The first role is the main character, Ban Ji Eum, who’s living her 19th life with a solid determination to find Seo Ha, the 9-year-old child she fell in love with during her 18th life.
Ban Ji Eum came from low-income family background and had to struggle all her life. Her dad was an alcoholic, and her mom left her when she was four years old. So she had to fight hard in this life while taking care of her brother, who was out of control. But in the end, she managed to stand out as a prodigy: intelligent, talented, and gorgeous from head to toe.
She did it all to stand out so she could properly find Seo Ha.
Next, the second role she had to play was Yun Ju Won, the daughter of a wealthy family who died in a car accident while she was young. The webtoon showed Ju Won as a mere 12-year-old, but who knows if the drama will later reveal the adult version of the character.
Finally, since the main character has lived a total of 19 lives, it is highly possible that she would recall memories of previous lives, which means we will be able to see Shin Hye Sun’s rich character spectrum once again in this new webtoon-adaptation drama. And this is something you definitely cannot miss!
The HUGE Main Issue: Ahn Bo Hyun Casting in “See You in My 19th Life” New Webtoon Drama
Now, the huge issue revolving in “See You in My 19th Life” is the casting of Ahn Bo Hyun in this new drama. Why? Because all this time, Ahn Bo Hyun’s image has always been that tall reliable man with dark skin and a profound muscular body.
Almost in all dramas he’s been working on, Ahn Bo Hyun has always been that steamy muscular male character who seems strong, sturdy, and reliable.
However, that is NOT the case with Moon Seo Ha.
The Image Clash Issue Between Ahn Bo Hyun and Moon Seo Ha in the New Drama
As the son of a chaebol family with a traumatic past of losing her mother and first love, Moon Seo Ha is perceived as someone elegant and fragile. He has a little bit of laid-back character with easy emotional triggers, especially when it involves his traumatic past.
Besides, Ahn Bo Hyun’s dark skin and muscular body do not seem to fit the physical traits of Moon Seo Ha at all. That is because Moon Seo Ha physically has pale skin and a slim body with brown hair. Therefore, fans started demanding the production team be more careful with their casting process.
Other actors that fans believe to have suited Moon Seo Ha’s character are Yang Se Jong, Seo Kang Joon, and Yook Sung Jae of BTOB.

This article is trash and any fans demanding this are trash. “Dark skin?” His skin isn’t even dark. What fucking prejudiced nonsense. Plenty of times for webtoon adapted kdramas actors are cast for their interest in the project and profound acting ability. They create the character even despite their physicality. Also if you knew anything about this webtoon you would also know that Shin Hye Sun should not be playing multiple characters from her various lives because THEY ALL LOOK DIFFERENT! In fact in some of her previous lives she was actually a man. Do more research and be less prejudiced in your reporting. It’s 2022, you’re embarrassing yourself.
Coming back to this post after the first two episodes have aired. In my opinion, Ahn Bohyun absolutely nailed his role as the traumatized and fragile yet elegant Moon Seoha.
The problem was not their acting skills but how the actual actors didn't accurately represent the webtoon version.
I'm also already watched the drama , done reading the webtoon too. ( My case was Read the webtoon first then watch the drama )
Yang sejong as seoha
Yoojung as jieum
Lee junho as secretary Ha
Park gyu young as chowon
That's the best suggestions I could give
