The Kpop icon BTS is set to star on the Disney+ starting this year available in several countries. Not only one, but BTS will have three titles, including BTS LA Concert, In The Soop, and BTS Monuments on Disney. This move is part of a newly-announced global collaboration between The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific and HYBE
BTS Coming to Disney+ with Concert, Friendship Trip, and Original Docuseries
Although previously reported that BTS is going to halt activities as a group and focus on their solo works, there are lots of contents that ARMY still can enjoy.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with HYBE to showcase their original content created with powerful artist IP on our global streaming services, including Disney+.
Jessica Kam-Engle, APAC Head of Content, The Walt Disney Company.
This collaboration represents our creative ambition – to work with iconic content creators and top stars in the Asia Pacific so their talent can be enjoyed by mainstream audiences in multiple ways.
We believe these new titles will captivate consumers worldwide and look forward to introducing more music content on our service.”
“This will be the start of a long-term collaboration, where we present worldwide audiences a wide range of HYBE content for fans who love our music and artists.
Park Ji-won, CEO of HYBE.
The Walt Disney Company has a long history of franchise building and promoting musical artists, with its unparalleled brands and platforms.”
BTS: PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA
Disney will have the exclusive cinematic 4K concert film for BTS live performance at Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles. The 4-day concert itself was successfully held in November 2021 and earned US$33.3 million. We can check out beautiful moments when the septet met ARMY in person again after two years.
IN THE SOOP: FRIENDCATION
The Wooga Squad (BTS V, Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, Peakboy, and Choi Woo Shik) will travel together in “IN THE SOOP: FRIENDCATION” and will available on Disney+ on July 22.
BTS MONUMENTS: BEYOND THE STAR
Last but not least, BTS will appear on Disney with their original docuseries, “BTS MONUMENT: BEYOND THE STAR.” The docuseries follows roller-coaster journey of the Kpop icon BTS. We can watch the septet’s daily lives, thoughts, and plans, as they prepare their second chapter. The docuseries of BTS will be available exclusively on Disney streaming services next year.
Which Countries Can Enjoy BTS on Disney+?
As quoted from Disney Entertainment Studios, the BTS content will be available across Asia, as well as the UK, Italy, and Canada.
“GMA (US TV Show) announced the news, so it will likely be available in the US as well. More countries will be confirmed today or in the next few days.
Disney Entertainment Studios.
Usually, what goes to Disney+ in the United States goes to most countries too, so probably Latin America will have it too.”
