Watch SEOUL FESTA 2022 Opening Show “K-POP Super Live”

Previously reported, the opening show of Seoul Festa 2022 would be broadcast to 118 countries through live broadcast and streaming. But unfortunately, due to the heavy rain and flood disaster that has been happening recently in Seoul, KBS has changed live broadcast to recorded broadcast.

On August 9, KBS officially announced in a press release that they must change the opening show arrangements of the 2022 Seoul Festa “K-POP Super Live.”

KBS stated,

“We were forced to change the setting from live broadcast to recorded broadcast. This is because we believe that the live broadcast of the Seoul Festa 2022 opening show ‘K-POP Super Live’ is unreasonable due to the catastrophic situation of heavy rain in the central region.”

Then KBS added,

“The K-POP Super Live show will be held and recorded as scheduled on August 10 at 7:30 p.m. KST. However, the recorded event will be broadcast on Friday, August 12, from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. KST.
We ask for understanding from viewers who are expecting K-POP Super Live. In addition, KBS will make every effort to ensure safety in the show.”

The recorded show is expected to be broadcast on KBS 2TV and KBS World on August 12 from 8:30 p.m (KST).

Moreover, the music event took place at the Olympic Main Stadium in Jamsil Sports Complex. Two K-pop idol actors, Kim Se Jeong and Cha Eun Woo will be the MCs of the show. The opening show will feature many famous singers and idols, including NATURE, THE BOYZ, LE SSERAFIM, VERIVERY, Rain, PSY, Stray Kids, NMIXX, NCT DREAM, ENHYPEN, Weki Meki, Tiger JK & Yoonmirae & Bizzy, and Forestella.
