“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” brings both excitement about its confirmed musical and confusion about its plan for Season 2. Here’s the complete detail for possible release date of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” musical, and what happened behind Season 2 from the production team and cast perspective.
EMK Confirmed a Musical Production of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” – Possible Release Date in 2024
On August 17, EMK Musical Company posted an official announcement of their production for “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.
In the announcement, EMK Musical stated that they had signed an agreement with “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” production house subsidiary to produce a new musical for the drama with possible release date in 2024.
“‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ to become a musical!
EMK Musical Company.
Woo Young Woo Syndrome will continue on stage!”
Furthermore, Korean media reported that “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” musical production will involve three musical works from different creators and cast. It will also raise issues and stories from three most engaging episodes of the existing drama. That way, the musical will be able to emphasize its creators’ strengths and characteristics without losing touch of the original characters.
“There have been many suggestions in dramatizing the drama. However, if we compress the vast original story into merely 2-3 hours, it raises concerns about whether we can accurately capture the beauty of the original story that way.
After all, ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ has a high level of perfection in each episode. And if we can express more detailed stories in an extended stage version, I think it will become more attractive.”
Uhm Hong Hyun, CEO of EMK Musical.
