BLACKPINK will release their comeback single “Pink Venom” on August 19. Moreover, the group is reportedly to debut the new single at the 2022 MTV VMAs. To celebrate the upcoming comeback single, BLACKPINK has launched a global campaign titled “Light Up the Pink.”
The campaign is to mark BLACKPINK’s comeback in 2022. Some major landmarks in some big cities into pink color. The major landmarks included the N Seoul Tower in Seoul, Tokyo Tower in Tokyo, Sinar Mas Plaza in Shanghai, Central World in Bangkok, Brooklyn Bridge in New York, and Santa Monica Pacific Wheel in Los Angeles.
On August 18, the N Seoul Tower in Seoul turned pink at 8pm KST. Some of BLACKPINK’s fans have shared the alluring views on Twitter.

BLACKPINK’ D-1’ and ‘D-Day’ Teaser Posters for “Pink Venom”
Besides the campaign, BLACKPINK also released enthralling teaser posters to commemorate the upcoming new pre-release single “Pink Venom.” Two teaser posters show BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, with chic and post-apocalyptic fashion vibes, have heightening BLACKPINK’s comeback fever!
“Born Pink” Album Pre-order
BLACKPINK’s first full album, “THE ALBUM,” became the first K-pop girl group to win the title of million-seller. It also ranks second on UK’s Official Chart.
Moreover, the second full album of BLACKPINK, “BORN PINK,” is set to release on September 16, 2022. According to YG Entertainment, the pre-orders of the upcoming album have surpassed 1.5 million copies.
Considering the new album’s release date is still a month away, the pre-order number may reach 2 million or more. Will BLACKPINK surpass their previous records?
