Park Chun-woo (Go Kyung-pyo) is a South Korean soldier who served in the DMZ area. One night, while doing the night watch, he suddenly found a lottery ticket.
The next day, he discovered the ticket was a winning lottery ticket worth 5.7 billion Won. Felt excited and confused, Chun-woo planned to get the money after completing his military service. Thus, he tried to hide it from his colleagues.
However, not long after he got the ticket, the wind blew away the ticket crossed the border while he was on duty. On the North side, a North Korean officer named Ri Young-ho (Lee Yi-kyung) found it. He asked his colleague Cheol-jin (Kim Min-ho) about the ticket, and together they found out that it was a lottery-winning ticket worth 5.7 billion Won.
Things got even more complicated when Chun-woo and Ri Young-ho’s colleagues and superiors of both parties found out about the ticket. Ri Young-ho certainly couldn’t take the prize because he is a North Korean. Moreover, he didn’t believe Cun-woo would give his share if he handed over the ticket directly.
Both sides agreed to meet secretly in the Joint Security Area (JSA) within the DMZ to negotiate how to collect and share the prize.
