Chae Soo Bin Stepped in to Replace Jung So Min in SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE Play

Shakespeare in Love announced a casting change for their ongoing schedule for the play. Because Jung So Min was temporarily unable to perform, actress Chae Soo Bin stepped in to replace her for the moment.

Shakespeare in Love production company Shownote Theater announced on February 24 that they had changed the casting for the play’s schedule. The company announced on Instagram that Jung So Min was unable to perform and actress Chae Soo Bin would temporarily replace her.

What Happened?

Further in the announcement, Shownote Theater explained that Jung So Min was supposed to perform as Viola in Shakespeare in Love play on Feb 25 – 26 at 7 PM KST. However, the Alchemy of Souls actress was unable to fulfill her scheduled duty due to health reasons.

That is why actress Chae Soo Bin who also played the role of Viola alongside her and Kim Yoo Jung, had to step in and temporarily fill the vacant position.

Since the casting change happened all of a sudden, Shownote Theater apologized and promised that cancelations and refunds would be available without additional fees.

At the same time, while some viewers may be disappointed with the change, most fans hope that Jung So Min will recover very soon.

Shakespeare in Love is a grand stage play based on a 1998 movie with the same title. It depicts the fictional story of the great artisan William Shakespeare and his love for a young woman, Viola.

Actress Jung So Min took the lead role as Viola de Lesseps alongside Kim Yoo Jung and Chae Soo Bin. The young woman tries to achieve her dream of becoming a theater actress.
