According to Cha Joo Young, such nudity was necessary for her character. She believed Choi Hye Jeong had always felt inferior to her friends Lee Sa Ra and Park Yeon Jin. That is why she would do anything in her efforts to elevate her pride and status in front of her friends, including conducting plastic surgery on parts of her face and body.
Cha Joo Young explained she didn’t feel anxious and had no worries about the nude scene. She believed the nude scene ultimately expressed her character, Choi Hye Jeong. In the scene, Hye Jeong didn’t have anything to fear. She was confident to face Park Yeon Jin to the extent that she felt secure enough to reveal her body.
“I didn’t feel anxious or worried at all. I believe the scene completely expresses Hye Jeong.

As for the second scene with Park Yeon Jin, Cha Joo Young stated that it was originally her whole body. However, in the drama, Choi Hye Jeong is a character who has performed breast augmented surgery. And since Cha Joo Young doesn’t have augmented breasts, they had to use CG or computer-generated imagery to replace her breasts with a body double with augmented breast surgery.
“From the moment I took on Hye Jeong’s role, I knew I had to perform the scene. I had talked about it a lot with the writer and director.
Hye Jeong herself made it clear that she had breast augmented surgery. However, I didn’t have that.
The part that many people were curious about was whether we used CG for the scene.
It’s hard to say that I didn’t take off my clothes. I know it sounds vague, but I wanted to accurately point out that, yes, it was my body.
However, we also prepared a body double and CG. We put a lot of effort into the second part of The Glory, so I didn’t just take off my clothes for no reason.
