Set Me Free Pt.2 is the first of six tracks in Jimin’s solo album FACE, which will be released on March 24. The track includes collaborative credits from producers Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, EVAN, and BTS leader RM.
5 Facts of BTS Jimin Set Me Free Pt.2
1. A new starting point
FACE, Jimin’s solo debut album, will give fans a different view of Park Jimin – in a good way – as it is his “new starting point.”
2. Jimin specially flew to the US
In an interview with Consequence, Jimin revealed that he went to the United States to record with the choir. He enjoyed all the processes he did in the US.
3. Set Me Free Pt.2 is not the second part
Although the track entitled Set Me Free Pt.2, it is not really part 2 of something. Fans notice no Set Me Free track in Jimin’s previous releases.
4. Set Me Free Part 2 is a nod to Suga’s D-2
Jimin confirms that Set Me Free Pt.2 is a nod to a track on Suga’s second mixtape, D-2.
“But since it turns out my song talks about freedom and moving forward, and SUGA’s song talks about some of the stories that come before, I thought it would be good to come after that.”

5. Big horns!
Set Me Free Pt.2, out ahead of BTS Jimin’s solo debut album, is a loud announcement of Jimin’s solo arrival. The aforementioned choir and assertive lyrics have a profound message and story.
“This album talks about how I look back on myself and how I overcame… If people understand the emotions I’m trying to express, I’ll consider the album a success.”
