Former NMIXX Idol Jinni Signs with United Artists Production (UAP) Agency
Star Today and Sports Kyunghyang reported that former NMIXX member Jinni would soon return to the Kpop idol industry with a new agency and stage name.
On April 14, Korean entertainment company Sublime announced that former NMIXX Jinni had signed an exclusive contract with United Artist Production (UAP) agency. And through a collaboration MOU with UAP, Sublime will also take part in managing Jinni as a Kpop soloist.
“Hello, this is Sublime.

SUBLIME.
Last year, Choi Yun Jin debuted under JYP Entertainment Kpop group NMIXX with the stage name Jinni. However, due to unknown reasons, she decided to leave the group on December 9. And even though the signs had been there, Jinni departure from NMIXX still left fans grieving and disappointed.
After months of inactivity, Choi Yu Jin finally re-emerged, providing fans with amazing updates through a new official Instagram account. Using a new Instagram username @jiniyxxn, former Kpop idol and NMIXX member Jinni began updating her fans with various photos of her extraordinary visual.
5 Reasons Why JINI Will be The Most Promising 4th Gen Kpop Soloist
As one of the most talented and miraculous monster rookies in the Kpop idol industry, former NMIXX Jinni will soon embark on a new journey using a brand new stage name in her new agency.
On the same day Sublime announced their collaborative management partnership, UAP posted their very first update on former NMIXX Jinni. On their official Instagram, UAP welcomed former NMIXX Jinni with a brand-new stage name: JINI or simply 지니 in Hangul.
Therefore, from today onwards, let’s honor her new journey and call Choi Yun Jin using her new stage name: JINI. She will be the most promising 4th gen Kpop soloist due to these 5 main reasons.
1. Gorgeous Visual
Among the 4th generation Kpop idol and girl group members, JINI possessed the most gorgeously rare visual that is completely unique. She emanates the mixture aura of an actress, model, and idol at the same time. And she can also master the duality between cute-innocent and chic-savage images.
Some even said that from multiple angles, JINI somehow resembles Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee. And we all know that these two names are the ultimate visual legends in the Korean filming industry.
2. Most Stable and Unique Vocal
There was one reason why JINI was already famous way before she debuted. It was because she possessed one of the most stable vocals among all JYP trainees.
When NMIXX was still a new JYPn unit, JINI already stole the public’s attention with her demo performances. That is why when she left the group, fans were genuinely disappointed.
3. Impressive Dancing Skills
In addition to her stable vocals, JINI also possessed the most impressive dancing skills among NMIXX members. JINI stole the most attention with her both solid and fluid dancing when JYP first announced their new girl group with the codename JYPn.
4. JINI Couldn’t Grow with NMIXX
Despite her stunning visuals and talent, JINI simply couldn’t grow with JYP Entertainment and NMIXX.
Why? Because she didn’t get the chance and enough exposure with the agency and her former group.
NMIXX is a group full of all-rounder members. And while this is a fantastic breakthrough project for JYP, it also provides both blessings and curses for its members. No diamond could truly shine inside a basket full of other similarly sparkling diamonds.
As we all know that Kpop is a fan-driven business, and most of the existing groups will move towards the directions according to fans’ demands. And among all the all-rounded NMIXX members, JINI didn’t stand out enough to attract all these fans’ attention. And one of the disappointing reasons was that JYP Entertainment didn’t give her enough chance and parts to stand out.
If you take a look at previous NMIXX releases, JINI was only given adequate dancing, small raps, and very little singing parts throughout the entire songs. And that only gave unbearable restrictions against JINI’s immense talent.
5. She Will Make the Most Promising All-Rounded 4th Gen Kpop Soloist
Finally, now that she has entirely left her image as former NMIXX Jinni, newly-debuted Kpop soloist JINI will soon greet her fans in a brand-new persona under UAP x Sublime management.
With her immense all-rounded talents, gorgeous visuals, and dominating stage presence, JINI will definitely be the most promising and successful 4th gen Kpop soloist. But of course, it will only happen with the proper management and endless support from fans.
So, will you give your love to our new soloist JINI? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. And keep yourself updated with JINI’s latest news on Kpoppost Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Telegram channel.

Good luck, Jini! You deserve so much better!
I am really excited to hear that former NMIXX member Choi Yun Jin, now known as Jinni, will be returning to the Kpop industry as a soloist under United Artist Production (UAP). It is always interesting to see how former group members fare when they go solo, especially when they have already gained a following from their group activities. I am curious to know what kind of music Jinni will be doing as a soloist, and what her image will be like. Will she stick to the same style as NMIXX, or will she try something completely different? And most importantly, will Jinni be able to succeed as a solo artist? The Kpop industry is highly competitive, and even established groups struggle to maintain their popularity. However, with the right management, music, and image, I believe Jinni has the potential to carve out a successful solo career. I wish her all the best in her new journey, and I cannot wait to see
At first I thought she left the group because of some trouble. And I felt bad about it. But now, I am glad that she left the group and the label. JINI deserves more attention. Hope UAP will bring her to her peak success.
