BTS Jungkook has taken the music world by storm with his debut solo single, “Seven,” soaring to the top of the Billboard charts, including Hot 100. This remarkable feat cements his position as a global pop sensation!
Unprecedented Triumph: “Seven” by BTS Jungkook Featuring Latto Sweeps Billboard Charts’ Top Spots!
“Seven” Tops Billboard Hot 100, Global 200, and Global Excluding US Charts
On July 24, Billboard released its latest weekly rankings for the most popular songs in the US, with BTS Jungkook’s “Seven” clinching the coveted No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated July 29, as well as on the Global Excluding US and Global 200 charts, achieving an impressive Billboard All Kill (BAK).
By earning this solo Billboard All Kill, Jungkook, the Calvin Klein ambassador, has etched his name in history. Moreover, he joins BTS and Jimin as the only Korean artists who have made a historic entrance on the Billboard charts and reached the summit of the Billboard Hot 100.
The Hot 100 ranks songs based on streaming data, radio airplay, and digital sales. During its first week (July 14-20), “Seven” achieved over 153,000 song downloads and CD singles, and amassed an impressive 21.9 million streams and 6.4 million radio airplay audience impressions.
“What Yoongi Wants, Yoongi Gets”
In an upcoming preview episode of “Suchwita,” Jungkook makes a guest appearance on Suga’s show. During their chat, Suga confidently predicted that “Seven” would top the Billboard Hot 100—an accurate forecast that later came to fruition.

Before this sensational achievement, Jungkook had already secured a place on the Hot 100 chart with his other single and collaboration, “Stay Alive,” the OST of 7FATES: CHAKHO (HYBE original story), and his collaboration with Charlie Puth on “Left and Right” last year.
His latest solo release, “Seven,” has become the 68th song to debut at number one on the Hot 100 chart since its inception in 1958. Billboard further revealed that with “Seven” featuring Latto, Jungkook becomes the second BTS member to achieve a Hot 100 leader, following Jimin’s “Like Crazy,” which reached No. 1 in April 2023.
“Seven” has propelled Jungkook on a record-breaking journey, marking yet another significant milestone in his already impressive list of accomplishments. Moreover, Jungkook’s “Seven” MV has surpassed one million YouTube views since its release on July 14, 2023. Therefore, topping the Billboard Hot 100 further solidifies his position as a formidable solo male artist.
Moreover, Billboard reports that BTS has now joined an elite group, as nine groups boast multiple members with solo Hot 100 No. 1s. With BTS securing six Hot 100 No. 1s and Jungkook and Jimin each earning one, they stand shoulder to shoulder with iconic groups like The Beatles, The Black Eyed Peas, Destiny’s Child, and Genesis.
Jungkook’s Inspiring Response
After his historic Billboard triumph, Jungkook wrote on Weverse early Tuesday, “Let’s go even higher.”
