On August 8, BIGHIT MUSIC posted an official announcement on Weverse regarding BTS V new solo album. The announcement revealed that BTS V new solo album would be titled “Layover” and contain 6 solo songs that represent V’s identity as a solo artist.

Previously, the release of BTS V new solo songs and album went incredibly viral on the internet and social media. That is because the upcoming solo album is a collaboration project between BTS V and the creative minds behind NewJeans, ADOR’s CEO and producer Min Hee Jin.

In BTS V’s solo album, Min Hee Jin now acts as the chief producer. She has reportedly been involved in all the details of BTS V’s new “Layover” solo album, including the music production, music videos, album concept, choreography, and even promotional plans.

Throughout his debut, BTS V has released 3 official solo songs that embody his music style: “Stigma” (2016), “Singularity” (2018), and “Inner Child” (2020). Aside from these official solo songs, BTS V has also participated in various solo songs for Kdrama OST, including “Christmas Tree” for “Our Beloved Summer” and “Sweet Night” for “Itaewon Class”.
