A famous YouTuber and the victim of a real-life school bullying true story who found courage thanks to “The Glory”, has died after making extreme choices.
On October 10, Korean media outlet TV Daily reported that Pyo Ye Rim had had tragically taken her own life.
According to the media, the Busan Fire Department and Police Station received reports at 12:57 PM KST on October 10 that a woman had reportedly fallen into the Seongjigok Reservoir of the Busanjin District, Busan. Both forces immediately went to the scene and conducted thorough searches.
Then, at 4:20PM KST, Busan Police and Fire Departments finally found the woman. They transported her to the nearest hospital right away. But unfortunately, she died of cardiac arrest.
After confirming her identity, the woman who fell into the Seongjigok Reservoir turned out to be the famous YouTuber and “The Glory” inspired real-life bullying victim, Pyo Ye Rim.
Previously, Pyo Ye Rim was one of the school bullying victims who spoke up through the BBC Korea program. Thanks to the skyrocketing popularity of “The Glory” Korean drama, she found the courage to speak up about the true story behind her real-life school bullying case.
For approximately 12 years, Pyo Ye Rim suffered from excruciating real-life torture from the same school bullying perpetrators. Although she had repeatedly asked for help, nobody was willing to give her hope, including the adults and her teachers.

In April, she also submitted a nationwide petition to eliminate laws that benefit those guilty of school violence. The demand included the statute of limitations for school bullying offenses and defamation-related regulations.

A particular YouTube channel has been targeting me, and I’ve been subjected to numerous attacks by unidentified individuals. They also claim that my accounts of school violence are untrue.
I no longer have the confidence to endure and overcome this pain. There is nothing left for me to continue living.

Was It Done by Pyo Ye Rim School Bullying Perpetrators?
Previously, in April, reports revealed that Pyo Ye Rim’s school bullying perpetrators had created a YouTube channel to spread malicious rumors about her. They allegedly fabricated statements and claimed that Pyo Ye Rim was insane and had been spreading lies.
Worse, they had even allegedly attacked her parents and planned to sue Pyo Ye Rim. The perpetrators sent certificates of contents, demanding a legal punishment against her. And it was all because one of the witnesses in Pyo Ye Rim’s school bullying case stepped up and revealed the identity of these perpetrators.
Although Pyo Ye Rim did not reveal their identities, they reportedly continued attacking her. These attacks caused severe depression. As a result, Pyo Ye Rim attempted suicide on April 22. Fortunately, at the time, the medical professionals managed to save her.
