LAPILLUS Chanty Takes An Indefinite Hiatus due to Health Issue
On April 5, MLD Entertainment released an official statement that LAPILLUS member Chanty had been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. Therefore, Chanty should take an indefinite hiatus and receive continuous treatment and care.
“Greetings.
This is MLD Entertainment.
We would like to inform you about the future activities of our artist, Lapillus’s Chanty.
Chanty has been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and has seen improvement in her health through continuous treatment and consistent care from her attending doctor.
However, there is concern that engaging in high-intensity group musical activities may cause the relapse of her symptoms and strain on her health.
Therefore, following this, while Chanty will remain a member of Lapillus and continue her individual activities, her participation in group activities as a singer will be indefinitely postponed.
We will do our best to support the health and recovery of our artist, so we ask for the utmost understanding of the fans.
We humbly ask for warm encouragement and continuous support for the future activities of Lapillus and Chanty.

Chanty Updates Her Condition after Receiving Warm Messages
As soon as the announcement was released, Lapis (LAPILLUS fandom) showered Chanty with warm, speedy recovery wishes. Messages like, “Get well soon, Chanty,” or “Take time to have the utmost care,” and “We love you, Chanty” are trending along with the hashtags #ChantalVidela and #Chanty.
Responding to the warm wishes from fans, Chanty took her personal Instagram account and updated her condition. On April 7, Chanty uploaded a series of gorgeous pictures of her and she wrote,
