YG Entertainment is again reported to launch a new girl group later in the second half of 2021, according to OSEN on May 18. Even though there are rumors going around on social media, the girl group’s official name and the number of personnel remain unknown even today. Still, it is a common secret that having multitalented members seems to be a peculiar vibe from the company.

The First YG New Girl Group after BLACKPINK
YG Entertainment is known for its amazing artists. Starting from a list of actors with extraordinary acting skills like Lee Jong Suk and Nam Joo Hyuk, as well as BIGBANG, iKON, TREASURE on their boy group unit, along with the former 2NE1 and the highly successful BLACKPINK in the girl group category, there is no end in the company’s success record.
The new girl group to be announced later in the second half of this year will be the first girl group formed by the agency after BLACKPINK’s first debut in 2016.
BABY MONSTER or BAEMON?
Last year, YG Entertainment also released the same statement that they would launch their new girl group in the second half of 2020. There was even a rumor spreading that YG new girl group name would be “Baby Monster”, or “Baemon”, along with a list of some of its potential members circulated on social media.
However, there was no further announcement following the statement even after the end of the year 2020.
So, is today’s report will come true? Or will it be just another preparation? Stay tuned with Kpoppost because we will keep you updated!
