Former TVXQ Kim Jaejoong Retells Stories When He Accidentally Met Lee Soo Man
The downfall of OT5 TVXQ has been one of the greatest tragedies in the history of Kpop. At the same time, it was a crucial turnover for many Kpop idols to free themselves from the ruthless slave contracts from labels and entertainment companies.
Long-time Kpop fans would have still remembered how JYJ members Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu were outcasted and allegedly banned from the Korean entertainment industry despite winning the lawsuit. And everything was thanks to Lee Soo Man.
Therefore, many believe that Lee Soo Man has become the ultimate nemesis for the remaining members of JYJ: Jaejoong and Junsu.
Interestingly, former TVXQ and JYJ Kim Jaejoong recently revealed a sudden encounter with this very nemesis, Lee Soo Man.
During his appearance on MBC “Radio Star,” Jaejoong shared the story of when he suddenly ran into Lee Soo Man and what happened afterward.

So, how could Jaejoong possibly meet again with Lee Soo Man, and what do you think happened then?
According to Jaejoong, he accidentally ran into Lee Soo Man around 4 years ago. At the time, he was on the same flight as Lee Soo Man, and the SM Entertainment founder apparently sat two seats away from him.
And yet, instead of confronting or ignoring Lee Soo Man, what happened was that former TVXQ Kim Jaejoong wrote a heartfelt letter for him.
“It had been a long time since everything had happened, and even with all the feelings I had built up, I wanted him to know I had changed.

So, during the flight, I asked the flight attendant for one of the postcards they kept on board. I spent the entire two-hour flight writing him a letter.
Before I got off the plane, I handed it to him. He patted me on the back and encouraged me to keep working hard. That was enough for me; I was just glad I got the chance.
Later on, I found out from Super Junior’s Heechul and some people from SM Entertainment that he mentioned the letter somewhere. He didn’t boast about it, but he shared that he received a letter from me. That made me realize I had made the right choice, and I was grateful for the opportunity.
I appreciate him.
Yes, we went through a lot together, but at the end of the day, I know I wouldn’t be here if he hadn’t given me the chance to debut. He played a big part in shaping who I am, and I wanted to let him know how much that meant to me.”
Fellow JYJ Junsu Responded with Hilarious Reaction on What Happened
In another event, Kim Jaejoong discussed this encounter once again with another former TVXQ, Junsu.
During KBS “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant” Jaejoong and Junsu made a treasured appearance after years of allegedly being blacklisted from national TV, reportedly thanks to Lee Soo Man.
In the show, Jaejoong and Junsu openly discussed their TVXQ moments and what happened with Lee Soo Man. They both agree that despite all the horrible experiences, there were still some precious memories, and Lee Soo Man was still the producer who debuted the original TVXQ.
“I don’t want to avoid or sugarcoat what happened in the past. I’m not ashamed of my time in TVXQ, and I don’t have any hard feelings toward it.

Yes, there were some bad moments, but we also made wonderful memories. We definitely had our share of good times, and we can’t overlook that.
The truth is, we owe our existence as a group to him. He’s the one who brought us to life, producing us and putting us out there. For that, I’m grateful.”
But when Jaejoong mentioned what happened during his meeting with Lee Soo Man, Junsu just couldn’t hide his response.
When Kim Junsu reacted, the caption on the screen showed “뭐라고 하셨어?” meaning “What did he say?” in polite Korean.
However, in the actual audio, he said “뭐래?” which translates to “He said what?” in a casual tone.
It seems that KBS adjusted the wording to make his reaction sound softer and more suitable for public television.

Finally, after the episode aired, Kim Junsu’s blunt reaction quickly went viral across online communities.
Viewers noted how short and direct his response was—some even called it “savage,” and perhaps rightfully so.
Not only that, but many were surprised because Kim Junsu has always been famous for his extreme politeness. Hence, this response suggested that this might reveal his true feelings about Lee Soo Man.
