Last September, Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun were courted to play in a new drama titled “Useless Lies” (literal translation).
And on November 11, IEUM HASHTAG, the agency of actress Kim So-Hyun, officially announced her upcoming project. The agency stated, “Kim So Hyun has been cast as Mok Sol Hee in the new drama “Useless Lies.”
Meanwhile, on November 28, PLEDIS Entertainment, the agency of actor Hwang Min-Hyun, also officially announced the actor’s next project. They stated, “Hwang Min-Hyun will be starring in the new drama “Useless Lies” as Kim Do Ha.”

“Useless Lies” is a mystery romance drama. The story follows a woman who has the ability to hear lies and a man who is a murder suspect that no one believes is innocent.
Kim SoHyun will portray the female lead character named, Mok Sol Hee. She is a woman who has lost faith in other people due to her extraordinary ability to hear lies. Although she sees her unique ability as a curse, she tries to put it to good use. She trained herself to be a “liar hunter” who looks for the truth.
Idol-turned-actor Hwang MinHyun will play the mysterious male lead Kim Do Ha. He is Korea’s most successful music producer and songwriter. He lives in solitude after previously being framed and falsely accused of being a murder suspect. However, he desires to return to the outside world after meeting and falling in love with Mok Sol Hee.
Korean drama “Useless Lies” is currently scheduled to premiere in 2023.
