Nam Da Reum Cast as the Younger Version of Song Joong Ki in the New Drama “My Youth”
On January 14, Nam Da Reum reportedly confirmed that he will star in the new drama “My Youth,” alongside Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee. In response to the casting news, Nam Da Reum’s agency, BAA, also confirmed this.
Furthermore, Director Lee Sang Yeob and writer Park Shi Hyun are working together on this new drama. One of Director Lee Sang Yeob’s popular works is “Yumi’s Cells,” while writer Park Shi Hyun is known for her work on the drama “Run On.”
Additionally, this new romance melodrama “My Youth” is set to premiere on JTBC later this year.
“My Youth” Korean Drama
The upcoming romance melodrama “My Youth” tells about the love story of Sunwoo Hae and Sung Je Yeon. When they were young, they supported each other during difficult times. After more than ten years, they meet again and create a new and fresh relationship.
Sunwoo Hae was a famous child actor, but now people are gradually forgetting about him. Sunwoo Hae is taking a different path from his previous glamorous life, and he is now writing a new chapter as a novelist and florist.

Former child actor Nam Da Reum made his acting debut at the age of 7. His first drama was the 2009 hit “Boys Over Flowers,” starring top actors like Lee Minho. Since then, he has appeared in many popular Korean dramas and movies, such as “Dong Yi,” “Ugly Alert,” “Pinocchio,” “Six Flying Dragons,” “Sinkhole,” and “A Birth.”
He enlisted in military service in February 2022 and completed his duty in August 2023. After discharge, the 22-year-old actor returned to the small screen with the KBS drama special 2024 “History of Us.”
Moreover, the upcoming drama “My Youth” will be Nam Da Reum’s second confirmed drama project this year.
As previously reported, he will star in the thrilling series “The Price of Confession.” In this Netflix original K-drama series, he will act alongside Jeon Do Yeon, Kim Go Eun, and other top actors.
In “My Youth,” Nam Da Reum will play the younger version of Song Joong Ki’s character. The actor is known for taking on childhood roles. He has portrayed many younger versions of the main characters in various popular Korean dramas.
He portrayed the younger version of Kim Seon Ho in “Start-Up,” Jung Hae In in “A Piece of Your Mind,” Lee Je Hoon in “Where Stars Land,” and Lee Jong Suk in “While You Were Sleeping,” and more.
In addition, this drama will mark the reunion of the actor and Director Lee Sang Yeob for their second project together. Their first collaboration was in the 2020 romance drama “A Piece of Your Mind,” which starred Jung Hae In, Chae Soo Bin, Lee Ha Na, and Kim Sung Kyu.
