On January 26, RBW (Rainbow Bridge World) officially confirmed that they had acquired DSP Media and will take over the agency at the end of March 2022. Back in April 2021, RBW also acquired WM Entertainment, the agency of ONF, Oh My Girl, and B1A4. RBW to expand their business by developing a strategic business based on content IP (intellectual property).
DSP Media is known for their Kpop artists like Fin.K.L, SECHSKIES, Click-B, KARA, and Rainbow. Currently, the company has APRIL, KARD, MIRAE, and Heo Young Ji as their artists.
APRIL Disbands – DSP Media Released Official Statement
APRIL debuted on August 24, 2015, with six members; Somin, Chaewon, Naeun, Yena, Jinso, and Hyun Joo. After two members of APRIL, Somin and Hyun Joo, left the group in 2015-2016, Chaekyung and Rachel joined the group. Since debuted, the group has released seven mini albums and a special album, “Hello Summer,” in 2020.
Earlier, the Kpop girl group April has had a legal dispute with former member Lee Hyun Joo over the so-called ‘bullying controversy.’ The group also stopped their activities following the bullying allegations. After a year since the bullying allegation, the agency announced April’s disbandment.

On January 28, the DSP Media agency released the following statement:
Hello, this is DSP Media.
We would like to inform you that our artist APRIL has disbanded.
After a long period of discussion and deliberation, our agency and the members of APRIL agreed to have the group disband and go their separate ways.
We ask for your encouragement and interest to the six members who will walk a new path that is not part of APRIL.
In addition, we would like to thank again the fans who have supported and cheered on APRIL for the past six years.
