It is 2022, and we have yet received any schedule from YG Entertainment regarding BLACKPINK comeback as a group. Apparently, YG Entertainment has a strong suspected reason why they delayed BLACKPINK comeback schedule. Here’s the complete update about BLACKPINK delayed comeback and YG Entertainment new girl group.
COMPLETE Suspected Reason YG Entertainment Delayed BLACKPINK Comeback Schedule
The extraordinary Kpop girl group, BLACKPINK, has been gaining lots of attention because their comeback as a group has been long overdue. This has caused many fans to speculate why YG Entertainment delayed the schedule of BLACKPINK comeback, and apparently, it is not without reason.
On February 5, various media reported that there is a strong specific reason why YG Entertainment delayed the schedule for BLACKPINK comeback. And surprisingly, it’s related to human resources.
The Suspected Reason Behind BLACKPINK Delayed Comeback
Since their debut premiere in 2016, it has been BLACKPINK unique characteristic to have a long period of hiatus between comeback singles. All this time, nobody really knows whether YG Entertainment has been doing it on purpose to maintain BLACKPINK value as a group, or they simply have no other choice but to put BLACKPINK on the bench for a while.
However, a recent post on a Chinese forum, Douban, raised an issue from the fans due to a strong suspected reason behind BLACKPINK delayed comeback. According to the post, the reason why YG Entertainment delayed BLACKPINK comeback these days is because they’re currently busy preparing for the new girl group, Baby Monster (tentative name).
FIRST YG Entertainment New Girl Group in SIX Years After BLACKPINK
Furthermore, since the new girl group will be YG Entertainment first girl group in SIX years after BLACKPINK, it seems that they’re pouring every resource they have into this new investment. After all, even the CEO of YG Food once mentioned that this new YG Entertainment girl group is no joke. Why? Because they’re just equivalent to 10 Jennies of BLACKPINK.
“There’s currently a new group coming after BLACKPINK called Baby Monster. They’re no joke, really. They’re like 10 Jennies.”

BLACKPINK 5th Member Busy Producing YG Entertainment New Girl Group
Moreover, the Douban post also mentioned that YG Entertainment new girl group production is under the hands of BLACKPINK 5th member, Teddy, which clearly explains why the group’s comeback has been long delayed.
Teddy, or Teddy Park, is a Korean-American rapper, songwriter, and record producer who has had massive involvement in BLACKPINK music. That is why most people in the industry call Teddy Park the 5th member of BLACKPINK.
Since speculations mentioned that Teddy Park was in charge of producing this new YG Entertainment girl group, it is no wonder that BLACKPINK comeback got delayed. After all, Teddy Park might have been extremely busy with the new girl group, seeing how much the company has been preparing for the group and keep announcing them for an extended period since 2020.
