On February 18, as reported by Newsen, actress Shin Hye Sun received an offer to star in a new drama entitled “Wax Doll” (literal title)

In response to the report, Shin Hye Sun’s agency YNK Entertainment said that the ‘Wax Doll’ is one of the proposed projects the actress received. However, nothing has been decided, and she is currently reviewing it. In addition, there is no further information regarding the details of the drama.

If Shin Hye Sun accepts the role, it will be her next drama after “See You in My 19th Life,” which is still in talks.

“See You in My 19th Life”

Earlier, Shin Hye Sun offered to star in the new drama “See You in My 19th Life.” According to her agency, she is still reviewing it positively.

“See You in My 19th Life” is a story based on a popular Naver Webtoon created by Lee Hey with the same name. In the drama, the 32 years old actress is casting to play the female lead character “Ban Ji Eum.” She is a girl with an extraordinary memory ability since she remembers everything from her past lives.

However, a tragic accident cut short her 18th life. And when she lives her 19th life, she tries to reconnect with the people in her previous life.

Director Lee Na Jung will direct the romance comedy-drama. Previously, she worked on many popular kdramas such as “Oh My Venus” and “Fight for My Way.”

“Brave Citizen”

After two years of hiatus from the big screen since her last movies “Innocence” and “Collectors” in 2020, actress Shin Hye Sun will return this year through a movie titled “Brave Citizen” and work with U-KISS’s Lee Jun-Young.

“Brave Citizen” is a webtoon-based movie with the same name. In the film, she will play the protagonist role of So Si Min, while Lee Jun Young will play the antagonist character, Han Soo Kang.

So Si Min was a rising star during her high school years as a Hapkido athlete. However, after experiencing the disappointments and bitterness of reality, she becomes a part-time teacher and aims to become a full-time teacher. She also holds herself not to act when she encounters injustice.

Director Park Jin Pyo, who helmed “Closer to Heaven” and “You Are My Sunshine” will direct the upcoming movie, while Yeo Jin Ah of “The Uncanny Counter” will write the script.

“Open the Door”

Another movie project Shin Hye Sun starring is “Open the Door.” It is a sequel to the thriller movie “Door Lock” starring Gong Hyo Jin in 2018, which also a remake of a Spanish thriller title “Sleep Tight” in 2011.

“Open the Door” depicts the struggles of a woman who lives alone and encounters incidents after buying a secondhand washing machine online.

Shin Hye Sun is a talented actress with the ability to play various roles. Besides “My Golden Life,” where she got her first lead role, there are more of her popular dramas that are recommended to watch. Like, Stranger, Thirty but Seventeen, Angel’s Last Mission: Love, and Mr.Queen.
