Following the establishment of I&B100 by EXO Baekhyun, the remaining EXO CBX members have now finally joined the new company. So, were the rumors true all along? Is this the original plan of EXO CBX members when they initiated the slave contract lawsuit last year? Join us in the following complete discussion.
EXO Chen and Xiumin Join New Company by Baekhyun
Just as the previous prediction by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, the remaining members of EXO CBX, Chen and Xiumin, now follow Baekhyun’s footsteps and eventually join his new company.
Last year, the 3 EXO CBX members filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment for maintaining the Kpop slave contract in the most cunning methods. However, SM accused EXO CBX of breaking contracts due to a third-party influence and even accused EXO Baekhyun of receiving bribery and corruption.
While all EXO CBX members eventually resolved the lawsuit and agreed to return to SM, bad blood continues between the two parties. When EXO Baekhyun announced his plan to start a new company with SM’s positive agreement, SM denied the knowledge and unexpectedly passed the hot potato back to Baekhyun. It gave out a hard signal that something was going on between the two parties, even when they said they had resolved the issue.
Today, EXO CBX members have departed from SM Entertainment to venture their promising solo activities with Baekhyun’s new company, I&B100.
I&B100 New Company: A New Era for Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin
Baekhyun’s bold move to establish I&B100 marks a new chapter for EXO CBX. With Chen and Xiumin on board, the trio is set to redefine their musical journey.
On January 8, EXO CBX members announced the launch of I&B00, signaling a fresh start. This label promises a blend of individual and team activities, all managed independently while still respecting their roots with SM Entertainment.
This strategic shift showcases their dedication to artistic freedom. The CBX members, now in their 13th year, reflect deeply on their future roles in the dynamic Kpop landscape. Their commitment to I&B100 is the result of these long deliberations and aspirations. It symbolizes their journey beyond the conventional paths of pop stardom.
Moreover, I&B100 will not only become an ordinary label. Instead, it will become a creative reinvention platform for EXO CBX members: Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin.
Here, the trio plan to showcase their untapped producing and production talents. This step underscores a deeper, more personal connection with their fans. It is also a leap towards materializing the dreams they’ve nurtured over the years.
“We will be moving forward and officially showcasing EXO CBX members’ producing skills and production capabilities that have not been shown before.”

EXO CBX Members Finally Breaking Free from SM Entertainment’s Chains?
The recent developments with I&B100 symbolize a significant turning point for EXO CBX members. They’re finally breaking free from what many perceived as SM Entertainment’s restrictive chains. This bold move toward independence marks a departure from the traditional idol-management framework that has long dominated the Kpop industry.
This transition is not only a shift in management but also a statement of self-empowerment.
