Discover New Historical Romance Korean Drama “Check in Hanyang” Cast and Characters
On April 26, STARNEWS reported that the Channel A’s new historical drama “Check In Hanyang” will feature Bae In Hyuk, Kim Ji Eun, Jung Gun Joo, and Jaechan from DKZ. Additionally, the upcoming drama will be Jaechan and Kim Ji Eun’s lead debut in the historical drama genre.
Storyline
“Check In Hanyang” is a historical romance Korean drama with the background of the Joseon Dynasty. The story depicts the growth and love stories of youth who work as interns at Yongcheonlu. It is the grandest guest house in the Joseon era with the lofty principle of “Guests are kings.”
Cast and Characters
Actors Bae In Hyuk, Kim Ji Eun, Jung Gun Joo, and DKZ Jaechan will play the roles of lively youth known as the “Hao-na 4” group. In addition, they are questioning the irrationality of the older generation.
Bae In Hyuk as Prince
“The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” actor Bae In Hyuk will play the character of Prince Lee Eun. He infiltrates Joseon’s largest guesthouse, Yongcheonlu, under the pseudonym Lee Eun Ho for a particular reason. Lee Eun struggled with court etiquette and often did things to anger or annoy his instructors. Moreover, he enjoys secretly sneaking out of the palace and getting entangled with the mischievous Hong Deok Soo (Kim Ji Eun).

The “One Dollar Lawyer” actress Kim Ji Eun will portray the character of Hong Deok Soo. For some reason, she lives as a cross-dressing woman. Hong Deok Soo enters as an intern at Yongcheonru and aims to become the head of Yongcheonru. However, she is destined to clash with and become entwined in a fateful relationship with Lee Eun Ho.
Jung Gun Joo
Jung Gun Joo will play the character of Cheon Jun Hwa, the heir of Yongcheonru. He is known for his dignified appearance and carrying a coin to “Check In Hanyang.” Despite having no interest in managing the guesthouse and preferring a vagabond lifestyle in the Qing Dynasty, his father’s anger compels him to undergo an apprenticeship at Yongcheonru.
DKZ Jaechan as Go Soo Ra
Lastly, Jaechan will portray Go Soo Ra. He is a bold young man who speaks his mind without caring about other people’s feelings. Driven by his goal to rebuild his broken family through his own efforts, he aspires to become a successful official in Yongcheonru. However, fate intervenes, leading him to share a room with the troublesome trio of Lee Eun, Hong Deok Soo, and Cheon Jun Hwa, resulting in a strong bond of friendship.
