RIIZE returns with a new ‘boombastic’ mini album, “RIIZING,” with a funky track “Boom Boom Bass”!
On June 17 at 6 PM KST, SM Entertainment’s boy group RIIZE finally released their album “RIIZING.” Along with the album release, they dropped the official music video of the title track, “Boom Boom Bass.”
The Funky Title Track, “Boom Boom Bass”
“Boom Boom Bass” is characterized by funky disco beats and groovy bass lines. The track portrays the excitement of youth and freedom through bass guitar performances. The varying pitches create a growing intimacy throughout the song, adding an element of fun.
Furthermore, the music video showcases the members embarking on a quest to find a legendary bass. Each member’s distinct personality shines through in their pursuit. Highlights from the dance performance include emphasizing the thumping bass sound by tapping the chest with a clenched fist, in addition to a special pair choreography and dance break.
Hyeong Guk Kim and Sang Min Lee, both Chief Directors of SM’s WIZARD Production who produced RIIZE, stated that “Boom Boom Bass” is not merely a sequel to the group’s debut track, “Get A Guitar.” The track captures the growth of RIIZE and serves as a powerful punch as the highpoint of the group’s signature genre, emotional pop.
“The title track is a culmination of RIIZE’s experiences and skills accumulated over the past year and we are excited to share it with the world. If the debut single ‘Get A Guitar’ showed what the group could do and if the subsequent releases like ‘Talk Saxy,’ ‘Love 119’ and ‘Impossible’ demonstrated their versatility, ‘Boom Boom Bass’ will make people go, ‘This is RIIZE!’ from the very beginning.”
