August 2024 Top Individual Kpop Idol Brand Reputation Rankings
From July 22 to August 22, 2024, the Korean Business Research Institute gathered an impressive 106,693,691 brand big data. They collected this data from 1,730 Kpop idols, consisting of female and male Kpop idols. Compared to the previous month’s total of 113,323,447 brand big data, this reflects a 5.85% decrease.
Moreover, the institute used this latest data to calculate the idols’ brand reputation indexes through an analysis of consumer behavior. This analysis highlights four key aspects: participation, media, communication, and community. Based on the results of the brand reputation indexes, the institute identified the top 100 Kpop idols for brand reputation rankings in August 2024.
According to the latest analysis, aespa’s Karina, IVE’s Jang Won Young, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, and BTS’s Jin topped the list as the top five Kpop idols in the brand rankings for August 2024, showcasing their immense popularity.

1. aespa Karina
Karina from aespa, who is set to debut in a gripping noir action cinematic series entitled “MY ARTi FILM” on MNet, took the top spot with a brand reputation index of 3,731,337. Compared to July’s brand reputation index of 2,624,757, this represented an impressive increase of 42.16%. The score is composed of the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 717,874
- Media Index: 730,610
- Communication Index: 884,863
- Community Index: 1,397,990
Moreover, according to the link analysis, the terms “transform,” “challenge,” and “lovely” ranked highly. In the keyword analysis, “Supernova, “My ARTi Film,” and “Ambassador” also scored high. The positive-to-negative ratio analysis showed a remarkable score of 91.70%.
2. IVE Jang Won Young
Jang Won Young from IVE, who looks stunning as the ambassador for the K-beauty product AMUSE, secured the second spot with an impressive brand reputation score of 3,442,962. This number signifies a rise of 25.26% from July’s brand reputation index of 2,748,651. The current index is derived from the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 637,868
- Media Index: 676,083
- Communication Index: 877,352
- Community Index: 1,251,659
3. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo
Cha Eun Woo from ASTRO, who wowed fans with his stunning visuals as his hair adorned with the Josephine Aigrette Imperiale Tiara from the Chaumet High Jewelry Collection (worth 87,250 USD), secured third place with a brand reputation index of 3,251,136. Compared to July’s brand reputation index of 2,870,148, it experienced a 13.27% increase. His latest brand index is derived from these indexes:

- Media Index: 829,828
- Communication Index: 747,970
- Community Index: 912,735
4. Girls’ Generation Taeyeon
Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation, who recently appeared as a guest on the MMTG show, claimed the fourth position with a brand reputation index of 3,087,642. Compared to last month’s brand reputation index of 3,532,006, it shows a 12.58% decrease. The current index is derived from the following indexes:

- Media Index: 333,398
- Communication Index: 1,097,382
- Community Index: 1,227,584
5. BTS Jin
Jin from BTS, who actively participates in variety shows after completing his military service, secured the fifth place with a brand reputation index of 2,977,916. However, this shows a significant decline of 46.88% from July’s brand reputation index of 5,606,311. His current score was calculated based on these indexes:
