The Korea Drama Festival (KDF), first held in 2006, celebrates the remarkable growth of the Korean drama industry. It honors the excellence of Korean dramas that are cherished by Kdrama enthusiasts both in Korea and around the world. The festival takes place every October in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province.
In addition to its overall celebration of Korean dramas, the festival features a variety of exciting main events. The main events include the prestigious Korea Drama Awards, a captivating Drama OST Concert, and a vibrant Musical Drama.

2024 Korea Drama Awards
This year, the Korea Drama Festival takes place in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, from October 11 to 20, 2024. The Korea Drama Festival Organizing Committee held the 15th Korea Drama Awards on Saturday, October 12. The event went live from the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center Grand Performance Hall.
Entertainer Lee Sang Min and actress Oh Jung Yeon brought their charisma to the stage as the hosts of this prestigious ceremony. In addition, the talented Kpop boy group VERIVERY and the enchanting Yuju delivered thrilling performances at the ceremony.
At the 2024 Korea Drama Awards, a total of 14 awards were presented, including the Best New Actor Award, Scene-Stealer Award, KDF Award, Hot Star Award, Hot Icon Award, Global Star Award, Villain Award, Best Couple Award, Best Original Soundtrack Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Excellence Acting Award, Best Actor Award, Best Drama Award, and the Acting Grand Prize. These awards honored all genres of dramas that aired in Korea from October 2023 to September 2024.
