SHINee MINHO is making a comeback with his first full-length album, “CALL BACK,” on November 4 at 6 PM KST. The album is now available on all streaming platforms.
SHINee Minho Returns as A Solo Artist with “CALL BACK”
“CALL BACK” marks MINHO’s return as a solo artist, nearly two years after releasing his debut solo mini album “CHASE” in December 2022. The album comprises 10 songs, including the title track, “CALL BACK,” a dynamic pop song that captures MINHO’s determination to express his feelings without hesitation. The track showcases MINHO’s emotive vocals against a backdrop of a deep bass line, powerful piano notes, and an energetic guitar riff, all combining to heighten the song’s intensity.
The album reflects MINHO’s expanded musical range. It includes collaborations with fellow SM artists, such as aespa’s NINGNING, who features in “Because Of You” for a heartfelt duet, and RIIZE’s SOHEE for “FIREWORKS,” a song exuding an uplifting vibe. MINHO also experiments with new styles in tracks like “Affection,” his first Afrobeat song, and “Would You Mind,” a song imbued with raw, break-up emotions.
Music Video: The Two Sides of Minho
The music video for “CALL BACK,” which is released simultaneously with the album, shows two contrasting images of MINHO – one deliberating over whether to “call back” the person he’s pursuing, while the other confidently pushes him to take action. These opposing moods, coupled with MINHO’s dynamic performance, are bound to captivate the audience.
Minho’s Current Activities
In addition to his music career, MINHO has been cementing his status as a multi-hyphenate artist through acting roles, including the JTBC drama “Family x Melo” and his first play, “Waiting for Godot.”
Following the album release, MINHO will be holding his first solo concert in 16 years – “2024 MINHO CONCERT [MEAN: of my first]” – on November 30 and December 1 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul.
