The mini album Follow introduces a fresh Kpop genre called Free-soul POP. With a philosophy of self-acceptance and resilience, the album offers listeners an inspiring journey through self-confidence and joy.
The highlight track, “FLOW,” produced by Grammy winner Mark Batson, is an emotional yet smooth listen, emulating the flow of water and the feeling of falling in love.
“We were thrilled to work with Mark Batson, a legend in music production who understood our needs so well. FLOW was crafted specifically for us with easy-to-follow rap, powerful beats, and a sound that matches our hearing abilities. It’s incredible to share this after so much hard work.”

Filming “FLOW” Music Video at Paris’ National Institute of Deaf Youth
Big Ocean filmed the music video for “FLOW” at Paris’s National Institute of Deaf Youth, a historical symbol of inclusion. Filming at this location underscores Big Ocean’s commitment to representing the deaf and hard-of-hearing community through art. Not only that, but the MV also features over a hundred diverse participants.
Creating New Rhythms with Technology and Collaborations
Big Ocean’s performances are powered by inventive technology, including vibrating smartwatches and flashing lights. The technology allows them to stay in sync despite hearing challenges. This use of adaptive technology has received widespread praise, including recognition from the President of Korea, setting Big Ocean apart as an example of resilience and creativity in Kpop.
Furthermore, Big Ocean’s advocacy extends beyond music. They’ve collaborated with SEVENTEEN, ITZY, and DAY6 Young K, gaining recognition for their efforts to include and uplift the hard-of-hearing community. Their partnerships with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) reinforce their mission to champion inclusivity.
Moreover, Mark Batson praised the project, calling it a “dream come true project” and “milestone in human creativity.” He also believes that Big Ocean will continue to inspire more people with their talent and vision.
Thank you. This is a major achievement in art meets technology that I am blessed to have been a part of. ??❤️ https://t.co/HN7rohiY2e
