December 2024 Kpop Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed 61,959,273 girl group brand big data from November 8 to December 8, 2024. Using the brand big data of Kpop girl groups, they measured the participation, media, communication, and community indexes of girl group brands to obtain the groups’ brand reputation index. However, compared to the 66,722,508 girl group brand big data from November, the brand big data decreased by 7.14 percent.
The analysis results show that Kpop girl groups BLACKPINK, aespa, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, and TWICE claimed the top five spots in this month’s Kpop girl group brand reputation rankings.

1. BLACKPINK
For the second month in a row, Kpop sensation BLACKPINK held the top spot in the Kpop girl group brand reputation rankings. The group’s brand value increased by an impressive 6.21 percent, jumping from 12,644,046 in November to 13,429,372 in December, with the following breakdown:
- Participation Index: 236,612
- Media Index: 1,919,562
- Communication Index: 3,589,380
- Community Index: 7,683,818
In the link analysis, the Institute found that the most popular terms for the BLACKPINK brand were “release,” “breakthrough,” and “beautiful.” Meanwhile, in the keyword analysis, they identified “Rose,” “APT,” and “Rosie” as the most popular keywords. In the positive-negative ratio analysis, the BLACKPINK brand achieved a whopping positive ratio of 95.60 percent.
2. aespa
Kpop sensation aespa is on a roll! The group recently swept the top honors at the 2024 Melon Music Awards and also held onto the second place spot on the Kpop girl group rankings for December. The group’s brand reputation index saw a slight dip of 6.64 percent, decreasing from 4,900,720 in November to 4,575,070 in December, with the following breakdown:

- Media Index: 706,104
- Communication Index: 1,874,074
- Community Index: 1,770,900
3. IVE
Kpop girl group IVE, who is set to rock the stage at the 2025 Lollapalooza Pari, held on the third spot. IVE’s brand value saw an impressive 9.27 percent increase, rising from 3,568,377 in November to 3,899,143 in December 2024, with the following breakdown:

- Media index: 573,595
- Communication index: 1,558,625
- Community index: 1,602,703
4. LE SSERAFIM
The outstanding Kpop girl group LE SSERAFIM, who became the first Kpop girl group to win the ‘Special International Music Awards’ at the 66th Japan Record Awards, stayed in fourth place. The Source Music’s girl group saw a slight 0.09 percent decrease in brand value, declining from 3,256,346 in November to 3,253,408 in December 2024, with the following breakdown:

- Media index: 580,431
- Communication index: 1,082,553
- Community index: 1,521,063
5. TWICE
The nine-member Kpop girl group TWICE, who recently made a fantastic collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion for “Strategy,” jumped to the fifth place. The girl group’s brand value soared by an impressive 20.91 percent, from 2,484,136 in November to 3,003,669 in December, with the following breakdown:
