One of Lovelyz members, Seo Jisoo, has tested positive for COVID-19. The agency, Woollim Entertainment, confirmed the news by releasing an official statement.
Lovelyz Jisoo Tested Positive for COVID-19
Lovelyz member, Seo Jisoo, has been tested positive for COVID-19 disease. On June 22 morning, Seo Jisoo had undergone preemptive testing, followed by a diagnosis that she had positively been infected by the Coronavirus.

Due to these circumstances, Lovelyz Jisoo had to pause all her activities, complying with all guidelines from the health authorities.

Agency Confirmed Seo Jisoo is COVID-19 Positive from a Related Staff Member
According to the official statement from Woollim Entertainment, Seo Jisoo received information on June 21 afternoon that a related staff member was confirmed COVID-19 positive. Lovelyz Jisoo then decided to get preemptive testing on the morning of June 22 and then received the same result.
“Lovelyz member Seo Jisoo was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the morning of June 22.
She received preemptive testing after being told on the afternoon of June 21 that a related staff member was diagnosed with COVID-19, and she was confirmed to have tested positive on the morning of June 22.”

All Lovelyz Members Postpone Schedule due to Self-Quarantine for COVID-19 Closed Contact, Mijoo and Kei Schedule Cancelled
After confirming Lovelyz Jisoo to be a positive patient of COVID-19, it means that all Lovelyz members are now classified as close contacts. Therefore, all Lovelyz members must enter self-quarantine and postpone all their scheduled activities.

As a result, Lovelyz Mijoo’s schedule was also canceled due to having close contact with COVID-19 positive Jisoo. Therefore, Mijoo’s special DJ appearance for SBS Power FM’s Cultwo Show has been canceled due to COVID-19 regulations.

On June 23, Lovelyz Jisoo agency, Woollim Entertainment, confirmed her COVID-19 positive test by releasing the following official statement:
“Hello.
This is Woollim Entertainment.
Lovelyz member Seo Jisoo was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the morning of June 22.
She received preemptive testing after being told on the afternoon of June 21 that a related staff member was diagnosed with COVID-19, and she was confirmed to have tested positive on the morning of June 22.
As a result, she has halted all activities, and the measures required by health authorities are being taken.
The Lovelyz members and all related staff members, who have been classified as those who came into close contact with Jisoo, were tested on the afternoon of June 22 and have entered self-quarantine.
With the safety of our artists and employees as the top priority, we will follow the requests and guidelines of health authorities as the test results are released.
We ask for your understanding regarding the concern caused, and we will put in our full effort to follow COVID-19 guidelines and take preventive measures.

All Lovelyz Members Tested Negative for COVID-19, Except for Jisoo
A while after confirming Jisoo’s COVID-19 positive test, Woollim Entertainment also informed that all members of Lovelyz had been tested negative of COVID-19. However, they still have to undergo self-isolation until July 4, following the government guidelines.
“Hello, this is Woollim Entertainment.
We would like to inform you about Lovelyz. All seven members except for Jisoo have tested negative for COVID-19 as of June 23. According to government guidelines, the members and related staff will be in self-isolation until July 4.
We consider the safety of our artists and staff as our top priority and we will continue to take measures in accordance to the requests and guidelines of the authorities.
We ask for you understanding for causing concern and we will do our best to comply with the COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing, and artist management.

Jisoo’s positive test is the second COVID-19 report from Kpop idol this week. Previously, SEVENTEEN had also need to go under self-quarantine despite tested COVID-19 negative.
