BLACKPINK Leads January 2025 Kpop Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed 63,644,284 brand big data from December 12, 2024, to January 12, 2025, to determine the brand reputation index of girl group brands for January 2025. They measured the participation, media, communication, and community indexes to obtain each group’s brand reputation index. Additionally, compared to the 61,959,273 girl group brand big data from December 2024, this figure increased by 2.72 percent.
As a result, BLACKPINK, aespa, IVE, (G)I-DLE, and TWICE dominated the brand rankings for Kpop girl groups in January 2025. Check out the top Kpop female group brands in the Kpop girl group brand rankings from November 2024 to December 2025.

1. BLACKPINK
The quartet BLACKPINK, known for their catchy songs, has topped the list for three consecutive months. The female group achieved a brand reputation index of 10,162,333 in January 2025. However, compared to the brand reputation index of 13,429,372 in December 2024, this figure decreased by 24.33 percent, with the following breakdown:
- Participation Index: 112,880
- Media Index: 878,799
- Communication Index: 3,276,037
- Community Index: 5,894,617
Furthermore, in the link analysis, the institute identified the terms “All-Kill,” “record,” and “breakthrough” as the most related terms associated with BLACKPINK. Meanwhile, in the keyword analysis, “Rosé,” “APT,” and “Billboard” emerged as the most popular keywords for the group. Additionally, in the positive/negative ratio analysis, the institute found that BLACKPINK achieved a positive score of 92.89 percent.
2. aespa
aespa, known for creating a unique metaverse-based identity, held the second position this month. The girl group recently won a Daesang with their hit “Supernova” at the 39th Golden Disc Music Awards and achieved a brand reputation index of 6,400,635. Additionally, compared to the brand reputation index of 4,575,070 in December 2024, this figure rose by 39.90 percent, with the following breakdown:
- Participation Index: 182,172
- Media Index: 617,316
- Communication Index: 2,673,023
- Community Index: 2,928,124
3. IVE
The sixth-member group IVE, set for a February comeback, also remained third on the list this January with a brand reputation index of 5,748,658. Additionally, compared to the brand reputation index of 3,899,143 in December 2024, this figure increased by 47.43 percent, with the following breakdown:
- Participation index: 164,220
- Media index: 587,674
- Communication index: 2,376,111
- Community index: 2,620,654
4 (G)IDLE
Kpop female group (G)I-DLE, set to launch their 2024 world tour [iDOL] in cinemas worldwide starting January 29, rose to fourth position. The sextet achieved a brand reputation index of 4,608,522. Additionally, compared to the brand reputation index of 2,412,289 in December 2024, this figure increased by 91.04 percent, with the following breakdown:
- Participation index: 54,536
- Media index: 576,203
- Communication index: 1,758,571
- Community index: 2,219,212
5. TWICE
The nine-member Kpop girl group TWICE maintained their position in fifth place. The group secured this rank with a brand reputation index of 4,015,031. Moreover, compared to the brand reputation index of 3,003,669 in December, this figure rose by 33.67 percent, with the following breakdown:

- Media index: 902,589
- Communication index: 1,028,412
