According to an exclusive report by IZE, actor Ju Ji Hoon is in discussions to star in a new fantasy romance drama adapted from the popular webtoon “The Remarried Empress.” In response to the casting news, BLITZWAY Entertainment confirmed it and stated,
“It is true that he has received the offer and is currently reviewing it, but nothing has been confirmed yet.”

“The Remarried Empress” follows the story of a perfect empress, Navier Ellie Trovi of the Eastern Empire. She is the wife of Sovieshu, the Emperor of the Eastern Empire. One day, her husband brings home a mistress, attracted by her innocence and sweetness, and asks for a divorce from Navier. Navier feels betrayed and hurt, but she agrees to his request with one condition: that he approves her remarriage to Heinrey, the King of the Western Empire. This shocking twist allows her to retain her title as empress.
The popular webtoon series “The Remarried Empress” was created by Alphatart, adapted by HereLee, and illustrated by Sumpul. The first season of the series was published on October 24, 2019, and is ongoing.

Ju Ji Hoon’s Role in “The Remarried Empress”
The actor is in discussions for the role of Emperor Sovieshu of the Eastern Empire. He may co-star with Shin Min Ah from “No Gain, No Love“ and Lee Jong Suk from “Big Mouth.”
Earlier, Shin Min Ah received an offer to play the character of Navier, while Lee Jong Suk received an offer to play Heinrey.
If Ju Ji Hoon accepts the role, this upcoming drama will mark his return to the historical genre and kingdom theme. Previously, the actor played the crown prince in two hit series, “Princess Hours” in 2006 and “Kingdom” Season 1 & 2 from 2019 to 2020. He also portrayed a king in the Korean movie “I Am the King” in 2012.
