The latest K-pop group brand reputation rankings for September 2025 have been announced. BTS continues their reign at the top of the boy group list for a third consecutive month. And IVE has taken the top spot from BLACKPINK, ending their powerful four-month domination of the girl group rankings. Discover makes them top the rankings and explore who else made it onto the rankings below.
September 2025 K-Pop Boy & Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings
From August 13 to September 13, 2025, the Korean Business Research Institute collected 64,448,201 big data points for boy groups. This number decreased by 1.74 percent from the 65,590,668 pieces analyzed in August. The institute determined the September K-pop boy group brand reputation rankings by analyzing consumer behavior using the latest big data. As a result, BTS, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, SHINee, and BIGBANG secured the top five spots.
For K-pop girl group brand reputation rankings, the institute collected 55,496,950 big data points from August 14 to September 14, 2025. Compared to the 51,332,730 big data points in August, it increased by 8.11 percent. Based on the analysis results, IVE, BLACKPINK, TWICE, Red Velvet, and LE SSERAFIM dominated the top 5 Korean female groups for this month.
BTS Dominates September Brand Rankings with Group & Solo Achievements

BTS topped the boy group brand reputation rankings for a third consecutive month. In September, their brand reputation index rose by 0.70 percent, climbing from 8,863,047 to 8,924,807.
According to the link analysis result, the institute revealed popular terms like “record,” “surpass,” and “donate.” In keyword analysis, their popular keywords included “full group,” “Dynamite,” and “YouTube.” The group also received a high positive score of 92.46 percent in the positivity-negativity analysis.
Setting New Records
The keyword “record” refers to the group’s and its members’ significant achievements. In July 2025, BTS became the first group to pass 40 billion streams on Spotify. Individually, the members also achieved remarkable milestones.
Jungkook continues to set Spotify records. As of September 2025, he became the first and longest-charting Asian solo artist on two weekly charts. His single “Seven” charted for 112 straight weeks, while his album “GOLDEN” remained on the charts for 96 consecutive weeks.
J-Hope made history with his first solo tour, “Hope on the Stage,” selling 504,000 tickets across 33 shows. The tour became the highest-grossing in history for a Korean soloist, earning an incredible $84.7 million. This achievement broke the previous record held by SUGA, whose tour grossed $57.2 million from 28 sold-out shows.
Jin also achieved a streaming milestone. In September 2025, his song “Don’t Say You Love Me” surpassed 447 million streams on Spotify.
The group’s hit song “Dynamite” also reached a new peak. Their music video surpassed 2 billion views on YouTube just over five years after its release, and it continues to attract millions of new views each month.
A Birthday Marked by Generosity
BTS leader RM marked his birthday on September 12 with a generous donation. He gave a total of 200 million won (approximately $144,000) to support the Seoul Asan Medical Center and the Korea University Medical Center.
Fans Anticipate Group Comeback
Anticipation for the group’s future activities also remains high. In August, J-Hope shared photos of the group and members in LA, increasing excitement among fans for a full group comeback next year. These combined group and individual successes show why BTS continues to lead the brand reputation rankings.

IVE’s Popularity Soars by 51%

IVE topped the September rankings. The K-pop girl group claimed the number one spot with a brand reputation index that rose by 51.26 percent, climbing from 5,193,674 in August to 7,476,491.
A link analysis revealed popular terms like “hip,” “flawless,” and “record.” At the same time, keyword analysis highlighted phrases such as “70 wins,” “IVE SECRET,” and “XOXZ.” The group also earned a positive rating of 94.57 percent from the public.
IVE’s Successful Comeback with “IVE SECRET”
IVE released their fourth mini-album, IVE SECRET, on August 25, 2025. Wonyoung participated in writing the lyrics for the song “XOXZ,” while Liz contributed lyrics for “Midnight Kiss.” The album’s concept is mysterious and rebellious. It expands on IVE’s signature “hip” image. The group later secured their 70th win on Music Bank with their track “XOXZ.”
A New Record for Most Music Show Wins
The group of six set a new record. They now hold the title for most music show wins of any 4th-generation K-pop group. Their recent victory for “XOXZ” on Inkigayo was their third trophy for the song, bringing their total wins to 72. With this achievement, they surpassed the previous record holders, (G)I-DLE and GFRIEND, who have 70 wins and 71 wins, respectively. This milestone elevates IVE to become the fourth girl group with the most music show wins in K-pop history.
